My suite was not clean. Dead crickets in the bathroom, every room had some debris on the carpet. This was the second suite they had move us to. The first was the same. Spoke with desk, told them I was going to be out for dinner, etc. I needed someone to clean the entire room. It was done and clean upon return. They need someone to check cleanliness of each room everyday.
My husband and I had been driving for 18 hours across the country making our way to El Paso from South Carolina. We decided to book this hotel instead of the one up the road because this one looked more nice but we were completely wrong. When we got to our room there was dirty sheets stacked up on the chair, the trash can was overflowing with someone else’s trash and the bathroom had dirty towels and empty shampoo bottles all over the floor. So instead of colapsing on a clean bed and going to sleep after an exhausting drive we had to go down stairs and ask for another room. When we confronted the lady at the desk very nicely about the dirty room she snapped back at us and said, “how am I supposed to know if the room is dirty, I just got into work. I don’t come in here and check each room to make sure they are clean personally. When they say the rooms are clean I take their word for it.” After receiving our room keys we went to our new room which had someone else’s dirty Reese’s rappers on the night stand. We were so exhausted we decided to just go to sleep. Such a new hotel should not be so filthy. Very disappointed.
Opened in March 2017. Convenient location right off the highway. Clean, well run, friendly staff. Awesome, roomy fitness center (better than some at much pricier hotels)! Overall a very good value.
Called at 11am Because I wanted a ground floor. Arrived at 5:30pm had to wait 20 minutes on staff to figure out what they were doing. Playing around. Could not make keys for rooms. Then when they finely waited on me. They informed me that the room that I had reservations for housekeeping did not clean. So I left and went to Best western. And I am a Elite Member so I hate to see how they treat nonmembers. They need to put trash bags in trash cans. New Hotel But at this rate it want last long.
I rarely write reviews but this is worth noting. While the stay in general was good, they double charged me for the room. I knew there were problems when I checked in and the prepaid information through Priceline was not correct... It took 30 minutes to check in as the clerk did not know what to do and we had to wait for the night manger to come to the desk. It was clear the manger was not on duty by the way she was dressed and unkempt. I repeatedly said to make sure I don't get double charged and they assured me I would not. I was not at all surprised when my CC bill arrived, the room was double charged. Stuff happens, right. I called the hotel three times, over two days, each time speaking to the same woman who said here manger was busy or not there and would have to call me back. NEVER got a returned call! That was one week ago. I understand the managers name is Joana Carter. If you don't take care of your customers, well, time will tell.
